ALLENECO Donates Welding Supplies to Coosa Valley Technical College

ALLENECO recently donated over 7,000 pounds of welding supplies worth approximately $27,000 to Coosa Valley Technical College’s Foundation. The welding supplies included mig, tig and welding rods for students to use in Coosa Valley Technical College’s welding classes on the Floyd County Campus.

As the supplies were presented and delivered to CVTC, President Craig McDaniel and Diane Blair, Director of CVTC’s Foundation, were on hand to officially receive the goods from Mr. Curtis Doyle, owner of ALLENECO. Mr. Doyle was accompanied by his son-in-law, Brad Brown, who is a CVTC Automotive student. Mr. Doyle stated, “I wanted to give these welding supplies to Coosa Valley to benefit the students in a welding classroom environment.” Joe Burrage is the Welding Instructor for CVTC was overwhelmed and very grateful to receive the extra supplies to help in teaching his students welding.
“The success of Coosa Valley Technical College over the last 42 years is due largely to the support of business and industry in our community and this is a perfect example of that kind of support and generosity,” said President McDaniel. Coosa Valley Technical College’s mission is to ensure that the College fulfills its promise to provide the very best in technical education.
