Coosa Valley Technical College Receives Trailer from Rosedale Transport, Inc. Rosedale Transport, Inc., a Dalton Georgia truckload carrier, recently donated a trailer to Coosa Valley Technical College’s Foundation. The 53 ft. dry van trailer will be used for CVTC’s Commercial Truck Driving program at the Gordon County campus.
“We are so pleased to receive a donation of a trailer for our Commercial Truck Driving Program from Rosedale Transport, Inc., a leader in the trucking industry,” stated Dr. Cathy Vann, Gordon County Campus Manager and Director of Instructional Services for Coosa Valley Technical College.
Billy Kay, Director Recruiting at Rosedale Transport, Inc. contacted Coosa Valley Technical College about their interest in donating the trailer.
“Our company has been doing business with five other state operated driving schools for six years and we think we can have the same partnership with CVTC,” said Kay.
“Since our freight originates around the Dalton area and Calhoun is within 20 miles of our main hiring area, we feel this will be a good partnership for both Coosa Valley Technical College and Rosedale Transport, Inc.,” Kay said. “We look forward to having successful candidates to accommodate the increasing need for qualified, professional, commercial truck drivers,” added Kay. Coosa Valley Technical College expects to begin accepting students for the Commercial Truck Driving program around the middle of July.
