Coosa Valley Technical College to Hold Third Annual Groundhog Shadow Day
Coosa Valley Technical College (CVTC) is gearing up for the 3rd Annual Groundhog Shadow Day! This educational activity will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2007, from 9am – 11:30am on the Floyd County Campus of CVTC.

Groundhog Shadow Day gives Floyd County and Rome City high school students and teachers the opportunity to tour the college, “shadow” CVTC students and instructors, and participate in classroom activities, while learning more about a particular program of study. Participating in this year’s Groundhog Shadow Day are many business and industrial programs, including horticulture and marketing.

Why Groundhog Shadow Day?

Ø Creative way to connect high school course work and programs of study with programs of study at the technical college.

Ø Provides an up close and personal look into a specific program area.

Ø Provides “hands-on” component to an otherwise normal college visitation.

Ø Provides an answer to the question “Am I truly interested in this career?”

This event will give prospective students a chance to experience technical education at its best!
