Georgia Power Foundation Makes Donation
Jeff Franklin, Vice President of Georgia Power and representative of the Georgia Power Foundation, recently presented Coosa Valley Technical College Foundation with a donation of $ 10,000.00.

In 1986, Georgia Power created the Georgia Power Foundation to bring greater clarity and strategic focus to philanthropic activities. The Georgia Power foundation is an independent legal entity providing grants to organizations that are enriching the communities they serve. Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed more than $75 million to qualifying nonprofit organizations. With an asset value of approximately $118 million, it currently ranks as the third-largest corporate foundation in Georgia, funding about 350 endeavors each year. Georgia Power has contributed more than $82 million to the Georgia Power Foundation since 1986.

Coosa Valley Technical College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds to provide the very best in technical education. Funds raised by the Foundation are used to provide scholarships and financial assistance to CVTC students, purchase equipment for programs, and provide training for faculty and staff, and further marketing and public relations efforts.
