Coosa Valley Technical College to Host State GEARMI and GSRT Meetings Coosa Valley Technical College (CVTC) will be hosting the annual Georgia Educators’ Association of Radiologic and Medical Imaging (GEARMI) Seminar on Friday, August 24, 2007, and the Georgia Society of Radiologic Technologists’ (GSRT) Seminar on Saturday, August 25, 2007. The purpose of GEARMI is to assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and training, advance the science of radiation and medical imaging, promote the exchange of educational concepts and methodologies at all program levels of radiation and medical imaging, motivate an interest in academic advancement and teaching as a career option, and foster mutual cooperation and understanding between radiation and medical imaging educators and other professionals.

The purposes of GSRT are to advance the science of radiologic technology, to assist in establishing and maintaining high standards of education and training, to elevate the quality of patient care, and to improve the socioeconomic welfare of radiologic technologists. Ongoing fulfillment toward these ends has perpetuated the growth of the Society since 1950.
