Fire Truck Donated to CVTC’s Fire Science Program
The Gordon County Fire Department recently donated a 1974 Ford F-750 fire truck to Coosa Valley Technical College’s Fire Science Program. The presentation was made by David Hawkins, Fire Chief of the Gordon County Fire Department, to Coosa Valley Technical College’s Foundation. Gordon County Officials were present for the presentation on CVTC’s Gordon County campus.

Gordon Tucker, CVTC’s Fire Science Instructor, was visiting the fire station when he saw the truck. When he asked what the truck was being used for, he was told it would soon be going to auction. Tucker immediately gave David Hawkins a better option for the older truck. Tucker said the truck would be a great asset to the Fire Science Program at CVTC.

Coosa Valley Technical College wishes to thank the Gordon County Fire Department for their generous donation.
