IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID ANNOUNCEMENT
MEETINGS FOR STUDENTS WHO WILL ATTEND CVTC SUMMER QUARTER AND BEYOND
Students who plan to attend CVTC summer quarter and beyond MUST REAPPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID in order to be eligible for HOPE/PELL for next quarter. All students across the United States are required to complete financial aid applications that are effective July1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
There are several major changes to the application process and the disbursement of funds for 2008-2009. Therefore, it is important for ALL CVTC students to attend one of the meetings listed below. Failure to attend one of the meetings may result in inaccurate application for financial aid and loss of eligibility for the next quarter of classes. It is very important for students to apply for financial aid soon and in the correct manner.
There is also a major change if the way that Pell funds are disbursed to students. All students who receive Pell funds will want to hear about the changes and how it will affect them.
All students who receive financial aid will be required to sign a form at the meetings. Students who do not attend a meeting and who want to receive financial aid next year will be responsible for visitng the financial aid office to sign a form.
Gordon County Campus meetings:
Monday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 6 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Meetings will be held in the auditorium on the Gordon County Campus.
Polk County Campus meeting dates and times:
Tuesday, May 6 at 6:30pm
Wednesday, May 7 @ 10:30am
Meetings have already been held on the Floyd County campus but will be held on the Gordon and Polk campuses within the next two weeks.
