Georgia's HOPE grant makes it possible for almost all residents of Georgia to attend Coosa Valley Technical College virtually cost free. See the financial aid section below, call our financial aid office.... visit the HOPE program home page by clicking here. HOPE Grant: The HOPE grant is available for Georgia residents wishing to enroll in full-time or part-time programs at Coosa Valley Technical College.
Specific eligibility for degree students: 1. Must be a Georgia resident for at least one (1) year prior to the quarter of attendance. 2. Must not be in default or behind in payments on a student loan. 3. Must not be convicted of a felony drug offense within 90 days prior to the quarter of attendance.
In addition, both Diploma and Associate Degree HOPE eligible students will recieve a $100 book allowance each quarter if they are enrolled for six or more credit hours. Students who are enrolled for less than six credit hours will recieve a $50 book allowance each quarter.

Click here to apply for the Pell Grant by filling out the FAFSA form Federal Pell Grant: Students who have financial needs and are enrolled in an Associate Degree or Diploma program may be eligible for this grant if they have not previously earned a Bachelor's degree. All students seeking financial assistance at Coosa Valley Technical College must apply for the grant before CVTC aid will be awarded. Grants range from $400 to $2,470 per year depending upon the level of federal funding, the cost of education, and the student's eligibility index as calculated by Pell Grant. The award does not require repayment and also varies with credit hours of enrollment.
