How long are my classes valid? |
Certain pre-occupational courses are considered to be of key importance to program completion and are only valid within a set time frame preceding Occupational Program entry. Students who have completed bachelor's degrees in abiological or physical sciences field or have been employed 3 of the past 5 years in an allied health occupation involved in direct patient care, or are currently in the Allied Health Occupations category may apply for a duration extension at the discretion of the Student Services Department.
Beyond the lengths listed below the student must also have had a "C" or higher for the class they wish to transfer in.
Anatomy & Physiology with Lab - 5 years Anatomy & Physiology without a Lab - 2 years College Chemistry - 5 years College Algebra - 3 years College Physics - 5 years General Mathematics - 2 years Psychology - No Limit English - No Limit Introduction to Microcomputers - No Limit Medical Terminology - 5 Years Medical Ethics & Law - 5 years Patient Care / Introduction to Health Care - 5 Years*
* To receive credit for this course, students must be able to demonstrate the necessary practical factors associateed with hand washing, gloving, isolation techniques, and vital sign determination. A current health care provider level CPR card is required as well.
Students who feel they have the knowledge of the subject but whose classes ocurred longer than the transfer limit are welcome to attempt the exmption test for any of these subjects. |
