What is Neuromuscular Therapy?
Neuromuscular Therapy is an effective and efficient means of assessing, treating, and preventing injuries and chronic pain as related to soft tissues. NMT is a treatment of pain by means of specific massage therapy techniques, myofacial release, and stretching so as to aid in the recovery from acute and chronic pain patterns. The focus is to bring about or restore a balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system.

The mission of the Neuromuscular Therapy program is to provide an educational experience, in conjunction with the DTAE, which will allow individual, regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age or handicapping condition, academic or economic disadvantage, to obtain the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to compete at the entry level in the field of Neuromuscular Therapy
