Coosa Valley Technical College is a Microsoft IT Academy and a Cisco Networking Regional Academy.

The Programs of Study offered by the Computer Information Systems are designed to meet the needs of employers in the tri-county area served by Coosa Valley Technical College. Industry leaders from Floyd, Gordon, and Polk counties meet quarterly to assess the ongoing needs of the industry.

In addition, the Programs of Study are geared toward preparing students to pass industry wide certification exams, such as:

  • Net+
  • IC3
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator)
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
  • CIW (Certified Internet Webmaster)
  • MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist)
