Coosa Valley Technical College is seeking a qualified candidate for Vice President of Administrative Services. This position is under minimal supervision of the president of the technical college, plans, administers and evaluates the following institutional services to include accounting, budgeting, human resources, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, revenue, asset management, building and ground maintenance, security, bookstore and food services. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, or closely related field and a minimum of five to seven years of full-time work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities as listed below. Five to seven years of supervisor experience. Preferred Qualifications: Masters in accounting, MBA or CPA, five to seven years of full-time work experience in college accounting and/or state government accounting. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Banner Financial system also desired. Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience and education. This position is under minimal supervision of the president of the technical college, plans administers and evaluates institutional services to include supervision and leadership in the activities of personnel as related to instruction; develops and maintains staff in-service activities; recommends the implementation or continuance or discontinuance of instructional programs and approves new curricula and revisions; approves the technical college by addressing interested groups, may conduct hearings for appeals of suspended students and may be responsible for information technology services. Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a vocational field or occupational supporting discipline or a related field and five years of experience in a adult education environment as an instructor, instructional media specialist, placement specialist, counselor or related professional specialty with one of the years having been as a classroom instructor. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the minimum qualifications, a doctorate degree and two years full-time paid work experience in business, industry or the military.
