  • Students tell how satisfying it is to get your education from Coosa Valley Technical College:

    Joe Nowak
    Automated Manufacturing Student at CVTC

"I was the product of company downsizing. I started looking for another career that would be challenging and that I would enjoy. When I came to Coosa Valley Technical College and found out about the Automated Manufacturing program, I felt it would be a good career choice for me. The education I received at Coosa Valley Tech helped me find employment and gave me peace of mind."

    Bethany Bragg
Business Office Technology/Medical Transcription Student at CVTC

"I am very excited about the education I am receiving at Coosa Valley Technical College. This experience will allow me to be able to get the job I want, working in a doctor’s office during the day and doing medical transcription from home in the evenings. Receiving the HOPE Grant to pay for my tuition at CVTC means everything to me. I am a single parent, and I could not attend school without it."

    Donald Wallace
    Nuclear Medicine Student at CVTC

"Right after September 11, 2001, I decided I needed to make a change in my career. I saw the heroism of the emergency personnel and I was impressed by it. I wanted to go from corporate work to more humanitarian work. The HOPE Grant, coupled with technical education, gave me the opportunities and resources I needed to pursue my educational interests. My education at CVTC has given me the ability to help people and give back to them in a more personal way than anything else I have ever done, and that gives me a great deal of satisfaction!"

    Rebecca Bailey
Criminal Justice Technology Student at CVTC

"Going to Coosa Valley Technical College was great for me because I liked the variety of classes and the fact that the class sizes were small. When you work full-time like I do, flexibility in class scheduling is essential. In the Criminal Justice program, the same classes were offered day and evening. This was important in being able to finish my education quickly. With the smaller classes at CVTC, you get to know the instructor and the instructor gets to know you. You are not just another face in the crowd."
